The Byzantine archaeological site of Saint Gabriel, which includes a Christian basilica, a number of rooms and a small bath building. The ruins date from around the 6th century AD. Kos town, the capital of the Greek island of Kos, is part of the Dodecanese island group and birthplace of the ancient physician and father of medicine, Hippocrates.
