On the left is the East Propylon that provided access to the courtyard. Above is the Acropolis. Dating from the 1st century BC, the Roman Agora is about 100 metres to the east of the Ancient Agora and is complex consisting of a large rectangular open courtyard surrounded by stoas, shops and storerooms.
