The Dovecotes are for pigeons and their excrement is used as fertilizer by the local farmers. Situated between Goreme and Cavusin villages, the hike through the beautiful Rose valley is relativity easy for most and provides close up vistas of fairy-chimneys, dovecotes, and caves tunnels and river beds.
