Perge. Antalya. Turkey. View of the decorated rear façade of the Roman entrance gate in the ancient city. Built during the reign of Emperor Septimius Severus (193-211) the gate is in the form of a triumphal arch. The well preserved ancient city of Perge was founded by colonists originating from the Peloponnese in Greece.
