Apamea. Syria. View of Columns along the Colonnaded Street marked with a deep twisting corkscrew fluting, unique to the ancient city of Apamea. The Grand colonnaded avenue or cardo maximus was once lined with tall columns with Corinthian capitals and is one of the longest and widest in the ancient world, running nearly two kilometres long.
