Myndos Gate defensive wall ruins – This Myndos gate was built during the reign of Mausolos. It was the scene for one of the greatest bloodiest battles during the siege Alexander the Great (334 BC). This image was captured at the cosmopolitan, vibrant and historical city of Bodrum which was known in antiquity as Halicarnassus and is famous for being the birthplace of the celebrated Greek historian Herodotus.
