Hierapolis. Turkey. View of a marble block with a ancient Greek inscription at the ancient Roman theatre at Hierapolis. The theatre was built in two stages, during the times of Roman Emperors Hadrian and Septimius Severus during the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. The upper and lower cavea has a total of 45 rows of seats which accommodated over 15000 spectators.
