This image was captured at the Asklepieion, the sanctuary of Asklepios, the Greek god of medicine and healing and son of Apollo. It lays 3.5 kilometers north-west of Kos Town and stands on the slopes of a low hill and enjoys a superb view over the sea and the coast of Asia Minor (Turkey) opposite.
