Dougga. Tunisia. View through two columns of the seating section of well-preserved ancient Roman theatre. Dating from 168 AD, the theatre is carved into a hill and consisted of 3 tiers of 19 rows each which accommodated an audience of 3500. An inscription proclaims that Publius Marcius Quadratus, a wealthy resident, financed the building of the theatre.
