Images in this gallery are from the Sanctuary of Didyma, which is one of the most evocative classical Ancient Greek sites in Turkey. On the Aegean west coast of Turkey, the sanctuary includes the colossal ruins of the Hellenistic Temple of Apollo, which is the 3rd largest Greek temple ever built. The sanctuary’s oracle was famous with pilgrims throughout ancient world and was second in importance only to Delphi.
